# Beyond Rational

> Beyond Rational is a Copenhagen-based supplier of sustainable, design-driven acoustic materials for architecture. Official distributor of Aisti® acoustic tiles in Denmark, and importer of Sappa (hemp panels), Mogu (mycelium panels), and Wuud (embossed wood cladding).

Beyond Rational specifies and supplies acoustic wall and ceiling materials to architects, designers, and building owners across Denmark. The products are natural-fibre alternatives to conventional mineral wool acoustic panels — comparable acoustic performance, lower embodied carbon, and in most cases no synthetic flame retardants.

Absorption Class A (with air gap), Euroclass B-s1,d0 fire rating, 100% recyclable. Available in two formats and two thicknesses. Full production from August 2026.
- [Sappa](https://www.beyondrational.com/product-sappa.html): Acoustic panels grown from hemp fibre, bound with a cement-free mineral binder. B-s1,d0 fire class, no added flame retardants, CO2-negative in production. 30 mm thick, square/rectangle/triangle formats from 30–120 cm.
- [Mogu](https://www.beyondrational.com/product-mogu.html): Acoustic panels grown from mycelium and upcycled textile residue, 3D-shaped for absorption tuned to speech frequencies. Fully circular, VOC-free.
- [Wuud](https://www.beyondrational.com/product-wuud.html): Embossed real-wood cladding panels for interior and exterior use, made in Finland. Multiple species, finishes, and custom patterns.
