Wuud.
Novel wooden cladding for contemporary architecture. Real wood — birch, alder, aspen, pine — modified to hold deep relief, then finished natural, translucent or painted. Developed in Finland; brought to Denmark by Beyond Rational.
The process
Wood, worked
into relief.
A novel wood-modifying process presses pattern into the surface of real timber — true depth that catches light and throws shadow. Standard patterns. Or fully custom.
The same modification weatherproofs the wood and adds fire retardancy — one panel language, from interior walls to building façades.
Developed out of a Business Finland & Aalto University research programme. Conscious, contemporary cladding — now available through Beyond Rational in Denmark.
